Summer at the C.C. Stern Type Foundry

Announcing our Summer Type Jam!
Pat Reagh

Patrick Reagh, Printers
CORRECT DATE: Monday, August 19, 2019
7:00 pm

Pat Reagh will present a sampling of his work and talk about his career in printing on the evening of August 19th. This is a casual event held around the table at the C.C. Stern Type Foundry, and attendees are encouraged to participate in discussion with the presenter. This is a free event, but donations are encouraged.

Pat Reagh is a master printer, typographer and type caster located in Sebastopol, CA. He apprenticed as a union type compositor in Los Angeles in the 1960s, and was then hired to work at the Plantin Press, where he learned the basics of classical typography and presswork. When the Plantin Press ceased its commercial operation in 1981, Pat purchased the press’s equipment. After a one-year partnership with Vance Gerry, he established his own imprint, Patrick Reagh, Printers and moved from the Los Angeles area to Sebastopol. His print barn is a combined type foundry and printing atelier, surrounded by the Sonoma County countryside. Patrick has designed and printed numerous books, broadsides, and ephemera, in addition to producing commercial letterpress work.
If you are planning to attend this type jam and would like to order type, dingbats or strip material (including Pat’s @ts) from Patrick Reagh, Printers, please contact Pat ASAP so that he can plan ahead.
